The look of the red hartebeest

The look of the red hartebeest

After spending 6 months wandering around the south of the African continent, I came to the conclusion that each of the animal species has a type of "personality" attached to it.

The leopard for example, which was by far the most difficult feline to find, is an independent and lonely animal, which in my opinion values freedom over the sense of belonging granted by herds.

For its part, the red hartebeest, which is the antelope in the photograph, always gave me the impression of being an animal with a melancholic temperament.

Despite the fact that I took this photograph very early in the morning, a question that could save him from my interpretation due to the fact that he was just awakened, with time I realized that that sad look was characteristic of his species.
