The Albania of the present

The Albania of the present

One can observe the level of development of countries just by looking at their buildings. And this is partially true.

I have always considered that art, architecture and power throughout human history have gone hand in hand. With this I do not want to claim that all art is a symbol of power, nor that all power is art.

But if it is true that from the beginning of history, architecture, urbanism, sculpture, painting, goldsmithing, among other expressions of human creative potential, have not reached the high levels of development with which we have enjoyed, if society as a whole and its ruling elites had not allocated large resources to promoting such activities, and thus, the results of those investments have always been a symbol of the productive capacity of nations.
