He knows he's majestic
One of the things that most strikes me about this antelope is its majestic behaviour coupled with its size, body language, spots and the extent and shape of its antlers.
Without being the largest antelope in Africa, it is impressive, in particular the males used to not be easily scared when you approached and could even completely ignore you and continue doing what they were doing. Which was not the case with the females that used to be, more elusive.
At times, and no matter how heavy his antlers were when he walked, I had the feeling that this animal was aware of its own majesty.
